KTM 300 Champion Edition Incoming!

“The KTM 300 EXC CHAMPION EDITION adopts the accolade of being the winningest enduro weapon ever created.” This is a statement from KTM themselves and they say they can back it up if you have a look at the 300 EXC’s trophy room.

50 years and more than 340 world titles have led to the Red Bull-liveried special editions in the EXC range.

The bike is powered by that famous TBI controlled  300cc 2-stroke motor that produces 52 hp and 58 Nm of torque the bikes are something of a statement.

The header pipe is designed to make for better ground clearance, reducing the risk of taking damage when riding over deep ruts and roots or when climbing steep rocks. The silencer is crafted from lightweight aluminium.

The 300 EXC is fitted with a 2-piston Brembo calliper that bites down on a 260 mm brake discs at the front and at the back you will find a single-piston Brembo caliper with a 220 mm  brake disc.

The 300 EXC Champion Edition is equipped with a 48 mm WP XACT Closed Cartridge spring fork that is said to provide fast and consistent damping due to optimized oil flow. The front suspension gives 300 mm of travel and no tools are needed to adjust compression and rebound. What is at the back? A WP XPLOR PDS rear shock with 310 mm of travel is what you will find.

KTM has chosen Michelin Enduro tyres wrapped around a 1.60 x 21″ front wheel and a 2.15 x 18″ rear wheel.

The gloss-orange powder coated frame is attached to an ultralight subframe that features a 2-part polyamide aluminium construction.

CHAMPIONS EDITION highlights include:

  • RED BULL CT. ORANGE FRAME. RADIATOR FAN. MAP-SELECT SWITCH. ORANGE FRONT AXLE PULLER. SEMI-FLOATING FRONT BRAKE DISC. SUPERSPROX STEALTH REAR SPROCKET. SKID PLATE. FRAME PROTECTION SET. FACTORY SEAT
