The ExtremeX SA show.

Last weekend, 14 October 2023, we made our way to Legends Adventure Farm & MX Track / Rhino Park for the ExtremeX Event. We were promised a day like no other and yes, the organizers delivered on their promise and then some.

The crowds were out in the hundreds walking around with their jaws dragging on the ground and slobbering drool trails following behind. The stalls had a massive range of everything with all sorts of trinkets for all ages and there was food and drinks aplenty to cater for the masses. Smiles turned to laughter and pure joy as their minds got blown with all the extreme action that took place.

With a lot to offer like Helicopter Flips that took people flying around and getting to overlook the action from above, Hi-Speed Gymkhana and Hi-Speed sprints. Freestyle Motocross, Aerobatic Displays and Trailbike Stunts were the biggest crowd pleasers for the day.

The Jungle Rush FMX Team had four of their Team members doing what they do best. Dallan Goldman, Jacques Human, Eon Deysel and Mike Oyston were fantastic to watch as they got massive air while pulling off some breath-taking tricks to entertain the crowds.

Dallan and Jacques pulled out all the stops treating the people with Back Flips and then Dallan went one up as he pulled off a One Handed Backflip that sent the crowds into a frenzy. With so much cheering and screaming from the fans it almost made it difficult to hear the bike engines as they got sent into the air.

The Marksmen Aerobatics Team made it extremely difficult for the jaw to stop hitting the floor. They even got close to stopping more than just the show but a few hearts as well. Displaying death defying aero stunts as they weave through each other like needles. Smoke from the planes created a visual that will not be forgotten, Ever!

They climbed to dizzying heights and then plummeting down to earth before swooping back and barrel rolling keeping everyones eyes in the sky.

What a performance!

Brent le Riche, a 19-time South African Trials Champion had the people in awe as he put on a show that made people jump for more than just joy. Popping wheelies and putting the wheel down right in front of the spectators or sliding out the back wheel just missing bystanders by millimeters. The cheers echoed as he jumped up on his rig and balanced himself before riding his bike down a ramp using only his front wheel and slamming the back wheel down as he crushes a Monster Energy can. This all while still commentating everything happening by himself.

Extreme
Brent Le Riche. The consummate professional.

There was so much to do and so many things to see that we couldn’t get to everything. This is planned as an annual event… personally I think it will only get better as the years go by.
