Who’s going to take Gold?
Who knows, but in addition to the international superstars like Letti, Bolt, the Brightmore brothers and others that are coming out this year, SA has a lot of depth and honestly, we cannot call it. Beta’s James Moore is a favourite – but Wade Young is also hungry to hit that magic number of Roof Victories! The youngsters from the Sherco Trademore team have also had an amazing year to date and they have gained massive international experience…
Matthew “The Shirtless” Green has had a great year and he is firing on all four… so much talent is coming to The Roof this year and it is fliippen awesome!
So let’s see.

There is a challenge on for CFMOTO and KTM’s little adventure bikes.
Ian Rall is back on the 390, competing in the bronze class. He Got an Iron podium last year… He moves up a class for 2026.
This year Travis Teasdale also takes on bronze on his CFMOTO MT450.
That’s going to be entertaining for sure!

Long time Roof Of Africa partner Motul will keep your bikes in tip-top shape. Motul is bringing back its popular Bike Wash, teaming up once again with Craig Kruger and his crew from Extreme Clean. Motul has supported the Roof for over a decade, partnering with the veteran team – most of whom bring 10+ years of bike wash experience – to deliver top-tier cleaning and maintenance in one of the toughest terrains on earth.
Setting up camp at Music Box (the Start/Finish for the event) on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 September 2026, the Bike Wash facility will feature 8 cleaning stations, alongside dedicated Chain Clean & Lube and Helmet Cleaning Stations.
If you ask nicely they will clean your boots and bodies at no extra charge!
How cool is that?
Beside the wash bays, riders will have access to Motul’s superior MC Care product range to prep their drivetrains and headgear for the next day’s stage.
