We wear helmets to protect our heads for that inevitable off, especially in off-road riding and racing. Often, the damage done to your helmet is not obvious and with replacement costs are what they are, so we generally carry on wearing that helmet hoping for the best.
A damaged helmet no longer offers the expected safety levels, therefore, its continued use is a safety concern. This is why Leatt has implemented their Helmet Replacement Program which assists riders by offering a significant discount on a replacement helmet purchase.
Owners of a damaged Leatt helmet, (and that is the important bit, this is only for Leatt helmet owners), can visit: www.leatt.com/int/helmet-replacement-program and read through the step-by-step instructions. Users click on the “apply here” online form, submit the model and contact information as well as a few photos to verify the damage as well as initial purchase.
Upon application, users will receive a confirmation email. Follow-up will be done via email, by one of the Leatt brand representatives. LEATT helmet partners worldwide will offer a 40% discount, (T’s & C’s apply), on a new replacement helmet within 3 years of purchase.
This new program sounds great for the rider’s safety and wallet and will hopefully make damaged helmets a thing of the past. If you don’t feel like doing it all online, wander down to your closest Leatt stockist or partner with your crashed lid and they will do it all for you.

This is a ‘Leatt Crashed Helmet Replacement’ program only, not an opportunity to upgrade your old flea Market special, or move your growing young champ into a better fitting lid. The 40% trade in value is based on the helmet you are trading in, not on the helmet you want. So, if you have a 2.5 or 3.5 and want to upgrade to a 7.5 or 9.5, the 40% value will be on the 2.5/3.5. This raises the next point, this deal is only on a like for like or upgrade, not downgrades. Why would you downgrade your helmet anyway)?
Don’t take in your 9.5/7.5 or etc and trade it on a couple of 2.5’s or 3.5’s and expect to get free helmets.
