Dirt Bronco hosted the 8th round of the Inland MX Championship. With well over 140 entries the day brought a lot of action.
Even though the track was quite dusty and the conditions windy the racers still managed put on a great show for the spectators.
Normal programming was the order of the day with the youngsters in the 50cc Junior and Senior class out first showing everybody what they are made of.
50cc JNR.
Heat 1.
It was a great start to the day for #30 Brayden Tucker as he took the first win in his class.
Then crossing the line in 2nd place we had #18 Garry Hamer and following him was #11 Gianno Ferreira who placed 3rd.
Heat 2.
Making his day even better Tucker secured himself 1st place taking his second win for the day. This time around #88 Reestin Bartlett came through in 2nd and #212 Axell Sutherland crossed in 3rd. Not far behind Ferreira took 4th and grabbed 4th overall.
50cc SNR.
Heat 1.
#20 Luan Jordaan form was brilliant, securing him 1st place. Pushing hard to take 2nd was #141 Alessandro Green and grabbing 3rd place was #118 Mason Vrey.
Heat 2.
Carrying his form into the last heat Jordaan made sure to keep it clean and took a convincing win. Green rode his little two-stroke bike all the way to secure 2nd place and Vrey took the flag in 3rd.

Heat 1.
This race was one of the highlights of the day with the two front runners battling hard for the laurels. The race finished incredibly close with #28 Callan Theron taking the win by just over half a second and #105 Justin Bauer in 2nd place. Behind them #37 Craig Maynier and #187 Ty Taylor were fighting hard for 3rd, Maynier beat Taylor over the line and clinched the 3rd spot, Ty took 4th.
Heat 2.
Giving the fans another great show Theron and Bauer had another fierce battle. Again Theron crossed the line in 1st with Bauer followed shortly in 2nd. Taylor kept Maynier behind him and he grabbed 3rd place.
Grand Masters.
Heat 1.
Adding to his already impressive year of racing #47 Shaun Lloyd took the win. Riding through the dust #24 Steven Beegte placed 2nd and #159 Adrian Maguire got himself 3rd.
Heat 2.
Lloyd made it two for two. Having a better run in the last heat #11 Rick van Tonder got himself over the line in 2nd place and Beegter took the 3rd spot.

MX4 Ladies.
Heat 1.
As the ladies came racing down in to the first corner #32 Ivana Venter went down the rest of the field were over the Table Top before Venter could get back in the race. Venter soon started catching up and gaining positions and after a few laps she was hot on the tail of the leader #16 Kelly Beegte. With only a couple of laps remaining Venter took the lead and sped off to take the win. Beegte claimed 2nd place and #110 Emily Pienaar got 3rd.
Heat 2.
This time all the ladies came out of the first corner unscathed and the race was on. Venter took the lead and opened a gap but Beegte started to close the gap, but it was too late and Venter crossed in 1st place, Beegte followed in 2nd and Pienaar took her second 3rd for the day.

#78 Keagan Crawford took an early lead, yet – as the laps fell he could feel someone breathing down his neck.
#111 Keegan Miles came past and took the lead. Crawford stayed close behind Miles all the way to the end, Miles snatched the win, Crawford took a close 2nd and #711 Keagan Burns crossed in 3rd place.
Heat 2.
In this race Miles got on the gas, feeling more comfortable as he got closer to the finish and took another 1st place. Crawford took 2nd and Burns with another 3rd.

Heat 1.
everybody was riding there hearts out and very soon the pack started to spread out nicely around the track. When the flag came out #77 Ricardo Zwiegelaar got the win. #88 Matthew Pienaar collected 2nd and #91 Connor Schlebusch took 3rd place.
Heat 2.
After the first race #15 Dylan Bezuidenhout, not a happy with his 7th place in heat 1 pushed hard off the line and took the lead keeping the gas wide open as he started to pull away. Bezuidenhout won the race, #221 Keagan Buys crossed the line in 2nd place with #312a Qhamani Thu right behind him in 3rd.

Heat 1.
With the top dogs lined up on the gate the spectators made their way track side.
Exiting the first corner #135 Dean Wheeler came out in front and he just kept going all the way to 1st place. Some good racing followed behind him, at the end #24 Mark James Carty got 2nd and #746 Adriano Catalano crossed in the 3rd spot.
Heat 2.
Carty had a great start as he powered his way out of turn one and launched himself into the air over the tabletop with the pack in tow. It did not take Wheeler long to take the lead. Carty was never too far behind. But, Wheeler’s pace was just too much and he won the race. Carty claimed a well deserved 2nd place and Catalano got 3rd.
MX Support.
Heat 1.
Taking an early lead for his class, #34 Greg Gildenhuys looked strong, further down the line #159 Adian Maguire was making up some good time and took the lead from Gildenhuys. Maguire stayed in front and took the win, Gilenhuys followed in 2nd and #56 Jason Venter crossed in 3rd place.
Heat 2.
Gildenhuys took an early lead but could hear Maguire behind him and shortly thereafter Maguire made his way to the front. Gildenhuys chased Maguire hard but it was too late, Maguire finished in 1st place, Gildenhuys secured 2nd and #420 Todd Henderson took 3rd.

Sadly, there was only one entry in the Seniors but it happens, and with some good riding #114a Dwayne Kleynhans put on a good display of racing and obviously took top honours for the class.
High School.
Heat 1.
With 21 riders lined up on the gate it was going to be epic – and it was.
#418 Cruz Martin got the holeshot with #114 Damion Venter, #13 Thomas Spear and #32 Ivana Venter in hot pursuit. In lap one while riding hard Martin Venter and Spear collided and both riders went down, luckily no serious injuries occurred.
Martin was not out of the woods as #100A Greef van Wyk was on a mission to catch him. Too little to late as Martin clinched the win, van Wyk came in 2nd place and #38 Ethan Louw took 3rd.
Heat 2.
Martin had another good start claiming the holeshot again but the rest of the race did not go his way and he finished in 13th place. Van Wyk was on point as he got his wheel in front and in the end took the flag for the win. #3 Asher Brown grabbed 2nd with #210 Blake Osner finished in 3rd. An awesome battle for 4th kept things interesting with Louw beating Spear over the line by 0.337 sec. That was not the only exciting battle on track, a few positions back a nail biting dual was coming to a close, #84 Marco Cherti took 7th with #296 Keno Pereira in 8th by 0.333 sec. What a race!

Heat 1.
A superb show of racing skill by #66 Mikah Hendrickse had him in front early in the race and could not be caught as he pulled away from the rest of the pack and took a comfortable win. The race for second and third was a lot more exciting with #183 John van der Westhuizen in 2nd and #104 Richard Smith in 3rd place.
Heat 2.
It seemed like it might be all about Hendrickse again as he put himself up front… then, seemingly out of nowhere #312 Qhamani Thu was right behind him and it started looking like Thu was going to pass Hendrickse. Then misfortune struck Thu as he went down.
Hendrickse took off and claimed his second win. #19 Tommy Wotherspoon finished in 2nd place and #201 Hanru du Plessis clinched 3rd.

Heat 1.
A good effort by the Wheeler Brothers saw #135 Dean Wheeler storming into the lead and #73 Brandon Wheeler taking up second. Dean Wheeler took a big win and Brandon Wheeler a comfy 2nd place. #717 Wayne Meyer had a good run and collected 3rd.
Heat 2.
In what seemed to be a case of deja-vu, heat two saw Dean Wheeler taking the double, Brandon Wheeler in 2nd and Meyer with a well deserved 3rd place.
MX2.
Heat 1.
In an epic battle for first, #25 Ricky Raaff and #24 Mark James Carty gave no quarter as they fought for the top spot. when the flag came out Raaff took the win with Carty on his tail in 2nd place. #450 Luke Grundy placed in 3rd.
Heat 2.
Carty and Raaff were locked in a heated challenge when Raaff started to drop back. Carty kept it pinned and he claimed 1st place, Raaff crossed in 2nd and #136 Mark-Anthony Filip took 3rd.
