Round 6 of the Inland MX was something quite special, the guys and girls made a long trip all the way to Richards Bay as they took on Teza Motocross Track. Sharing the weekends racing with the National MX Championship that happened on the Saturday and the Inland had the track to themselves on Sunday.
A well prepped track made for some good racing.

JNR.
Race 1 – Unknown territory for most of the riders the kids still gave it all they had. Those little 2-stroke motors worked hard with all the inclines. #88 Reestin Bartlett had a great run to take 1st place, #30 Brayden Tucker came 2nd and #212 Axell Sutherland in 3rd.
Race 2 – With a better feel of the track the youngsters felt more at ease. Bartlett secured himself a second win, #18 Gary Hamer took 2nd and Tucker grabbed 3rd.
SNR.
Race 1 – With some good practice the day before competing in the Nationals #20 Luan Jordaan fed off of his great result on Saturday and ran a great race to cross the line in 1st. #16 Travis Hart took 2nd and #118 Mason Vrey with 3rd.
Race 2 – Jordaan was on fire as he made his way around the track. He got another win followed by Hart in 2nd and Vrey taking 3rd.

Race 1 – Another rider who made waves in the Nationals and kept his momentum through to Sunday was #135 Dean Wheeler. He rode his heart out and took the flag in 1st place, #76 Ian Topliss got between Dean and his brother for 2nd with # 73 Brandon Wheeler in 3rd.
Race 2 – Dean Wheeler was again unstoppable as he took his second win, Dean’s brother followed suit to take 2nd and #100 Sean Stunkheide took 3rd.
MX2.
Race 1 – It was the Western Cape boy #247 Jean Visser who was out in full force and making great work of the track and it paid off with him winning the race, #101 Grant Frerichs came in 2nd with #136 Mark Anthony Filip in 3rd.
Race 2 – Visser with another win in mind was disappointed as Frerichs took the lead and the win, Visser got himself in 2nd and Filip another 3rd place.

Race 1 – It was a fantastic run by the lady who took 3rd overall in the Nationals.
#202 Mienke Cawood was in full form as she crossed the line in 1st place, #21 Jessica Osner collected 2nd and a young lady to keep an eye out for in the future #16 Kelly Beegte was 3rd.
In Race 2 – Cawood with an unforgiving run left the rest behind to take the double win for the day. Beegte just could not catch Osner who placed 2nd.

Race 1 – A boy from Bloemfontein #778 Viv Cameron Howell came out to take on the Inland riders. And he took them by storm.
Howell crossed the line to take the win, with Northern Cape rider #14 Ohan Graven in 2nd.
#66 Mikah Hindrickse finished 3rd.
Race 2 – Bloemfontein boy made the Free State proud and did so in style as he claimed another 1st place, Graven collected 2nd and Hendrickse came 3rd.

Masters.
Race 1- #111 Marc Ansley was relentless with his onslaught as he made his way to the front and just kept it pinned all the way to victory, #50 Nicolaas v.d Linden slotted in 2nd and #187 Ty
Taylor in 3rd.
Race 2- Ansley rode another clean race and won yet again, v.d Linden had a massive increase in pace as he crossed in 2nd with Taylor grabbing 3rd.
Grand Masters.
Race 1 – With so many wins under his belt this year #47 Shaun Lloyd just keeps adding to his tally as he took the flag in 1st. #13a Wade Gullan came 2nd with #159 Adrian Maguire in 3rd.
Race 2 – Lloyd made it two for two when he took the victory in both races. Gullan came 2nd and Maguire in 3rd.

Race 1- #1247 Jean Visser was out to show the guys how they do it in the WC and did it well. He saw the chequered flag 1st, then it was the Maddog’s 15 year old rider #38 Ethan Louw in 2nd with #777 Asher Brown in 3rd, just 0.002sec behind Louw.
Race 2 – The boys from the Cape topped the charts, Visser pedalling harder to stay in front won the race. #24 Ronald Graven from the NC who had a DNF in the first race grabbed 2nd and Brown collected 3rd again.
Seniors.
There were only two riders in this class #101 Grant Frerichs took the win with #718 James Lottering 2nd in both races.

Race 1 – It was a great dice ending with #111 Keegan Miles taking the flag. #711 Keagan Burns in 2nd and #78 Keagan Crawford placed 3rd.
Race 2 – Miles rode his way to a double win, Burns took 2nd and in 3rd was #312 Xander v.d Watt

Race 1 – #418 Cruz Martin Dominated the race and comfortably took 1st place, #15 Dylan Bezhuidenhout grabbed 2nd and following them was #778 Viv Cameron Howell in 3rd.
Race 2 – What a dice! Martin just clinched 1st with Bezuidenhout 0.006sec behind in 2nd place and Howell taking 3rd.

Race 1 – It wasanother stellar performance from #135 Dean Wheeler as he rode to victory. #75 Calvin Jean-Jacques did not do to badly himself as he crossed in 2nd with #198 Adam Bac crossing in 3rd.
Race 2 – Wheeler did not have it all sunshine and roses this race as the end was much closer than he would have liked, but still he pulled it off. Jean-Jaques did very well to take another 2nd and this time in the 3rd spot was #746 Adriano Catalano.
MX Support
Race 1 – Putting on a good show, #16 Chae Rouillon powered to the line and claiming the 1st spot, #122 Kyle Davey got to 2nd place and #295 Anru Mostert took 3rd.
Race 2 – During the last race of the day, every rider wanted to grab that winning feeling. That person was Rouillon and he was chased by #20 Dorren Loureiro who came in 2nd with Davey in 3rd.

As the riders and fans said goodbye to Teza to come back to Gauteng, a sense of satisfaction for a weekend well spent was what a lot of people had on their minds. Bringing the inland back home, Round 7 will be held at Terra Topia on the 6th of July.
