Inland Motocross Championship 2025, Round 1.

Riders and supporters flocked to ERORA this past weekend to get the Inland Motocross Championship 2025 Race Season started. A good turn out of riders made for some jolly good racing.

Inland Motocross
50cc Juniors & Seniors.

50cc Junior & Senior

Junior.

Heat 1.

It was up to the youngsters to kick off the new race year and they did so in style. The gates dropped and the little two-stroke bikes puffed into action. When the flag came out at the end it was #18 Garry Hamer that won the race, #149 Salvador Bastos took 2nd and #112 Logan Fulton placed 3rd. 

Heat 2.

The race had the same results as the first as Hamer grabbed 1st place, Bastos another 2nd and Fulton claimed 3rd.

Seniors.

Heat 1.

The top riders from last season came through looking strong for the new season. The first win of the day went to #30 Brayden Tucker who was followed by #11 Gianno Ferreira in 2nd and #88 Reestin Bartlett in 3rd place.

Heat 2.

Tucker had great pace as he rode his way to victory. Bartlett had a better second race as he crossed the line in 2nd with Ferreira following in 3rd.

Heat 1.

The MX3 Vets lined up behind the gate and serious business got underway!

It was #73 Brandon Wheeler who came out on top as he grabbed the win. #22 Sarel Prinsloo finished 2nd and #717 Wayne Meyer took 3rd place.

Heat 2.

Wheeler once again had a good start and kept up the pace. He could not be caught and finished in 1st place, Prinsloo followed in 2nd with Meyer placing 3rd.

125cc High School.

125cc High School. 

Heat 1.

The 125cc High School class always has impressive numbers and is backed up by action packed racing and this was the case yet again. 

#1 Ronald Graven powered his way to the win with #100A Greef van Wyk in 2nd place followed by #418 Cruz Martin in 3rd.

Heat 2.

This time it was Van Wyk who outrode his classmates as he crossed the line in 1st place, Graven claimed 2nd and #114 Damien Venter in took 3rd.

Junior.

Heat 1.

The juniors rode their hearts out as they shared the track with the Pro Mini class. In the end it was #246 Ryan Boggett who came through in 1st place followed by #714 Thiago Mtafu in 2nd and #413 Rocco Kapp took 3rd.

Heat 2.

Boggett took this opportunity to do what he did in the first race and grabbed another win, again Mtafu took 2nd wit Kapp placing 3rd.

Senior. 

Heat 1.

With the Pro Mini class dominating the track, one rider really stood out. #280 Kabelo Ledwaba won the race.

#234 Cassie van Zyl crossed in 2nd with #555 Maxwell Fourie in 3rd. 

Heat 2.

Things turned out differently in the last race with Van Zyl taking the flag in 1st. Ledwaba took 2nd with #111 Keegan Miles grabbing 3rd.

Heat 1.

The top class was absolutely, well, top class as they left the fans in awe. Outperforming his class riders was #337 Slade Smith who rode his way across the line in 1st.

#24 Mark James Carty claimed 2nd followed by #717 Calum Marriott in 3rd.

Heat 2.

To prove his point, Smith had another great race that claimed him victory. Carty kept his pace and took 2nd again with #746 Adriano Catalano finishing in 3rd.

MX Support.

Heat 1.

In the support classes first race, it was #32 Brandon Meyer who showed his skill when he took 1st place, #33 Blake Levey came through in 2nd with #274 Matt McCarthy placing 3rd.

Heat 2.

The last race had #321 Jordan de Lange riding hard to cross the line for the win. Meyer took 2nd and #421 Tyrone Thomson claimed 3rd place.

Heat 1.

As the ladies took to the track,  #32 Ivana Venter stood out when she claimed the win. #16 Kelly Beegte took 2nd place with #110 Emily Pienaar following in 3rd.

Heat 2 saw another great run by Venter securing her 1st overall for the day. Pienaar got to the line next and took 2nd with Beegte in 3rd place.

Heat 1.

With the scream of two-stroke engines, the kids inthe 65cc class all rushed into the first corner. As the dust settled #104 Richard Smith crossed the line and took 1st place, #20 Luan Jordaan finished 2nd and #333 Parker Cik placed 3rd.

Heat 2.

Increasing his pace in heat 2, Jordaan kept it pinned and claimed the win, Smith followed in 2nd and #141 Alessandro Green took 3rd place.

Masters.

Heat 1.

Giving all he had to take on the new race season, #50 Nicolaas van der Linden pushed hard and reaped the reward by taking 1st place. #28 Callan Theron came through in 2nd place with #46 Jonathan Meyer in 3rd.

Heat 2.

Van der Linden’s momentum pulled through into heat 2 as he finished as the race winner. Meyer followed in 2nd with Theron in 3rd.

Grand Masters.

Heat 1.

It seemed like it was going to be a good day for #47 Shaun Lloyd as he claimed the first win of the year. #7 Gary Killian crossed in 2nd place with #19 Darrell Lehman in 3rd.

Heat 2.

It turned out that it was a great day for Lloyd as he again took 1st place. Killian grabbed 2nd with Lehman in 3rd.

Heat 1.

Finding all the right lines #24 Mark James Carty flowed through the track and took 1st place, #21 Emmanuel Bako placed 2nd and #717 Calum Marriott finished 3rd.

Heat 2.

Stealing Carty’s thunder, Bako’s pace was just too much as he finished 1st.

Carty followed in 2nd with Marriott 3rd once again.
