The 390 Adventure R is equipped with KTM’s latest generation 399cc LC4c engine that is said to be smoother, with more power and better acceleration. The cylinder head has been tweaked and the gearbox has been improved.
The adjustable 43 mm WP APEX open cartridge fork front suspension has been given 230 mm travel. With “Just 30 clicks” you can adjust both compression and rebound.
Out back you will find an adjustable WP APEX Separate Piston shock absorber that gives 230 mm of travel. The spec looks good.
Check the standard pipe. Cool huh!
KTM has equipped the 390 Adventure R with a heavy-duty spoked 21” front wheel and a 18” rear wheel. KTM’s tyres of choice are by Mitas.
The KTM 390 Adventure R is equipped with an LED headlight and a 14-litre fuel tank for those long trips. A slim windshield has been fitted to give the rider an unobstructed view and offer some wind resistance.
It also has a sturdy bashplate.
Another state-of-the-art feature is the 5” H50 full-colour FTF display with USB C port. The rider can stay connected via the KTM connect system that allows for phone calls, music and their turn-by-turn navigation app.
You have to admire this company when it comes to innovation. We look forward to taking one for a spin soon!
KTM has also built The 390 Adventure X which is more road focussed with smaller mag wheels.
