Dirt And Trail Funduro 8 was a roarer.

Funduro

A horde of riders descended upon Wolwekloof farm for a day of tough trails and dices with their mates. It’s always fun and – as the saying goes, not a race…

This was Dirt And Trail Funduro 8.

The aim however, is to do as many laps as you can in an allotted timeframe, with prizes and trophies awarded to the ladies and gents that can string a few laps together.

It’s a great format, no pressure , it’s up to you. You can go solo (Ysterman) or tag in and enter with your buddies as a team. Team entries need to complete the laps together, so if your mate gets snarled up, you can stop and laugh while they get  unstuck.

The routes for this one were kind of in your face. This is the farm where the rocks grow, but at the end of the line there was a section where it’s fast and flowing and riders could regain their composure.

HJC gave away a spankin new C50 Lid... Michelin, Spanjaard and Dirt And Trail all put up goodies, trophies and medals for the riders...

The routes are all marked, so you ride at the pace that suits you. The format is simple: Orange trails are for everyone and pink loops are marked for the “Manne”.

The five odd hour time frame took it’s toll, there were some very tired riders at the end of it all – but all smiles as the winners came up to grab prizes, medals and trophies.

All in – another great success. The Dirt And Trail Funduro series is growing and – if you enjoy more technical, but rideable trails, make sure that you book for the next one.
