Lesser known Manufacturers are taking the fight to the Big Dogs – and this year, two of them have triumphed spectacularly…
Lets go further and blow Southern Africa’s horn just a little bit.
Drikus, The Bokke, the Binders, Young, Green and now Cox and Branch among others constantly take the fight to countries with a much bigger pool of competitors..
Ok we hear you – Branch is a Motswana, but when it comes to racing, he cut his teeth on the South African circuit, so we’ll claim him.
Ross Branch is the 2024 world Rally Champion.
A Botswana Boy on an Indian made motorcycle, Hero Motorcycles.
Bradley Cox has won the 2024 Rally 2 World championship with the Bas World KTM Racing team. We reckon it’s just a matter of time before Brad gets a full factory ride.
Let’s not kid around, those lads had no freebies, racing is deadly serious business, the boys took on the traditional big dogs and won!
From the SA MX circuits, to the SA Cross Country circuit and enduro events, these guys are the best in the world on the rally scene.
Hard work and dedication to our sport is what it’s all about.
Boys, SA is truly proud. Walking around at the MX Nationals yesterday, your names were on everyone’s lips. Absolutely Brilliant.
We are looking so forward to Dakar ‘25.

Two new manufacture names take world titles: Historic stuff!
Branch on Hero, Alonso on CF Moto.
In Moto 3, David Alonso took the world championship on a CF-Moto. A Chinese bike with a Colombian Rider is the world champion, beating out all of the bigger names. A first for a Colombian, a first for CF Moto and a first for China.
Pretty Cool huh!
