BMW really has a knack for creating expectations. The news about the new GS1300 set tongues wagging, speculation, anticipation… and a few months later the bikes arrived on dealer floors.
We were invited to BMW Motorrad East Rand to join the festivities.Â
They put on a great show, live music, eats and drinks…
And it felt like all the BMW fans on the East Rand bunked work to come and see the new bikes.
4 different bikes were unveiled to much fanfare, the GS, the GS Trophy, the GS1300 Triple Black and a Triple Black that was dressed in aftermarket accessories.
And they even sold a bike off the floor – the lucky customer unveiled his own bike and he rode it off the floor. The first in SA as far as we are aware.
                           Also on show were some pretty trick S1000RR’s.
It was a morning well spent soaking in the whole GS philosophy and chatting to the Auto Alpina team. More news on these bikes soon.
