Inland MX Championship Round 6 – Dirt Bronco

It was a warm, sunny day at Dirt Bronco for Round 6 of the Inland MX Championship, with the track nicely prepped and the riders eager to get racing. The conditions were good, andthe riders put in a solid day’s work as the championship moved through another round.

MX50cc Junior & Senior and MX65cc

The MX50cc Junior class was a straightforward affair, with #59 James Gibson the only Junior rider entered. Gibson took the win in both heats to claim the Junior overall.

In the MX50cc Senior class, #112 Logan Fulton was also the only rider in his class and took both heat wins and the overall victory.

The MX65cc class saw #20 Luan Jordaan take control from the start, winning both heats. #215 Nathan Authers finished second in both, while #17 Hanro Jacobs completed the top three in both races.

MX85cc Junior.

#204 Luke Schlorke had a strong day in the MX85cc Junior class, winning both heats and taking the overall victory. #12 Gino Dos Santos finished second in both races, while #199 Nicky Kasser took third in Heat 1 before #202 Blake Eckmann moved into third in Heat 2 and claimed third overall.

MX85cc Pro.

The MX85cc Pro class was another consistent result, with #40 Henrico Barwise winning both heats. #312 Qhamani Thu finished second in both races, while #246 Ryan Boggett took third in Heat 1 before #19 Tommy Wotherspoon moved into third in Heat 2 and finished third overall.

MX4 Ladies.

The MX4 Ladies class produced identical results in both heats, with #422 Kirsten Santillan taking both wins. #17 Misha Bukes finished second in both races, followed by #55 Gabriella Olivier in third.

MX1.

#15 Dylan Bezuidenhout was the man to beat in MX1, taking both heat wins and the overall victory. #96 Keno Pereira finished second in Heat 1, while #184 Justin Cope was third. In Heat 2, Cope moved up to second, with Pereira third.

That was enough for Cope to take second overall, with Pereira finishing third.

125cc High School.

The 125cc High School class saw #777 Brandon van Wyk win the opening heat, ahead of #111 Keegan Miles and #91 Connor Schlebusch.

Miles came back strongly in Heat 2 to take the win, with Van Wyk second and Schlebusch third. Miles’ consistency gave him the overall victory.

#28 Callan Theron enjoyed a clean sweep in the Masters class, winning both heats ahead of #187 Ty Taylor and #58 Warrick Peeters.

The ladies enjoyed a great Ding Dong!

Grand Masters.

The Grand Masters class was equally consistent, with #7 Gary Killian taking both heat wins. #19 Darrell Lehman finished second in both races, while #159 Adrian Maguire completed the top three.

#73 Brandon Wheeler took both Vets heat wins, finishing ahead of #94 Keegan Du Plooy in both races.

#15 Jonothan Du Plooy finished third in Heat 1, while #717 Wayne Meyer took third in Heat 2. The results gave Wheeler the overall win, with Keegan Du Plooy second and Jonothan Du Plooy third overall.

#711 Tallie Strydom was another rider to make it two from two, winning both MX Support heats. #303 Damyon Taljaard finished second in both races.

#10 Cameron Fenton was third in Heat 1, with #103 Jordan Ramsden taking third in Heat 2. The overall podium saw #79 Cameron van den Heever joining Strydom and Taljaard.

Next Stop

With Round 6 done and dusted, the Inland MX Championship now takes a short detour to Bloemfontein for the North vs South at BORC 26 September.

The championship then returns for Round 7 at Dirt Bronco on 10 October.

Another day of racing, another round in the books.
