Henderson Racing Products, the local importer and distributor of Scorpion helmets in Southern Africa have just landed a shipment of ADX-2 Flip Up Adventure helmets in all three colours of the Galane and all three solid colours, as well as a shipment of ADF-9000 Air Full Face Adventure helmets in graphics as well as solid colours.
Both models come standard with a 5 year warranty, (we like that), both have dual homologation, (P/J), both have the Pinlock 70 Maxvision which ensures a 100% fog free vision included in the box. Then they also both feature the KwikWick anti-microbial fabric that keeps you cool and dry in warm weather, warm in cool weather, the Liner is easily removable and washable. The KwikWick has 3D cheek pads. Further to that they also feature Kwikfit cheek pads allowing the use of most common styles of spectacles.
The ADX-2 Flip up features a solid polycarbonate construction, micrometric buckles and Speedview, which is their retractable sun visor that has been treated with anti fog on both sides. In our humble opinion they look the part with a strong mixture of road and off-road styling and aerodynamics. R5,200.00 for the solid colours and R5,800.00 for the graphics RRP.
The ADF-9000 Air Full Face helmet falls into a more premium category with a bunch of high end features such as Airfit which is an inflatable cheek pad system for superior personalised fit, a dark smoke visor as extra, a high strength titanium double D-ring system and Ultra TCT, (Thermodynamic Composite Technology), developed by Scorpion EXO. Extremely light, digressive integrity on impact absorbs more energy, which in short means it is light and strong. This is all over and above features like their Speedview, KwickWick II & III and Pinlock 70 Maxvision anti fog screen.
The solid colours are set to retail at R8,400.00 incl VAT and the graphics at R9,100.00 incl VAT.
