The Sherco model range is strong, with three two-strokes – a 125cc, a 250 and a 300, all labelled SE. They have four 4-Stroke SEF models, the 250, 300, 450 and 500.
South Africa is getting 5 of the seven available models.
The two-stroke models: 125 SE, 250 SE and 300 SE.Â
Four-stroke models are 300 SEF, and a new 500 SEF.Â
2 options: Factory and Racing.
The Racing model is a lower specification choice It still comes standard with a fan and lower spec open cartridge KYB forks.
The higher spec factory edition comes with higher spec parts and closed cartridge KYB forks.
2025 2-Stroke specific upgrades:Â
- The 250 and 300 get a new, higher exhaust expansion chamber that is less prone to bashing on rocks.
- The 250 and 300 two-strokes get new Gearbox ratios with closer gaps from 3rd to 5th gear.
2025 4-Stroke specific upgrades:
- The four-strokes get a new Akrapovic exhaust system.
- A 200g lighter and more efficient, they say fuel pump.Â
- The 300 SEF gets a new cylinder head design, revving to 14000 RPM.
- New swing arm on 450 and 500.
- New wheels on the 450 and 500 with axle, hubs and spokes.Â
- They get a new tilt sensor that activates after 5 seconds
Updates to all models:
- 2T models have 10 litre tanks. 4T models have 9.8 litre fuel tanks.
- New bodywork and colours with inmould graphics.
- New air filter and air box design with convenient side panel access.
- New placement of the relays and battery which are all accessible inside the new airbox.
- New frame across all models. Adjusted steering tube angle depending on the model. So: The 125 has a shorter wheelbase while the 450 and 500 are longer. The new frames are lighter than previous models.
- New, 7075-grade CNC machined upper and lower triple clamps.
- New steering head bearings with better sealing.
- New steering lock and lower chain guide
- New, lighter rear subframe.
- New, more efficient cooling system.
- Stronger plastic grills.
- Silicone coolant hoses.Â
- Lighter fan as standard on all models
- Better side grip protectors and under rear fender grab area.
- New front and rear Galfer brake discs.Â
- 5mm taller handlebars.
- New Digital dash.
- Bigger handguards and forks guards.
- New skid plates on all bikes.
- New side stand with bigger foot pad.
- Lighter wiring harness.
Sherco South Africa tells us that the bikes will be on floors in the next couple of weeks.
