BMW Motorrad Fourways held their unveiling of the all new BMW R12G/S recently with an informal and low key event at their Cedar Isle premises. With the BMW faithful in attendance and with a flurry of smoke and drapes the much anticipated R12G/S was revealed to the excited onlookers.
As the guests milled around the new machines pointing out features to each other, discussing the merits if each of the innovation they were treated to a boerie roll and a cold drink or 3 each. Even thought the showroom floor is jam packed with a wide selection of the latest Motorrad offerings and a wide selection of tidy pre-owned bikes, the R12G/S was definitely the Belle of the Ball and stealing the limelight….. as it should be.
The R 12 G/S is available in three colours – Light White, Option 719 Aragonite and Night Black matt and comes with BMW’s standard 5 year warranty. All colours can also be spec’d with the Enduro Pack, making it a much more focused off road machine with great on road manners to boot.
The Enduro Pack includes such niceties as 21/18 inch wheels wrapped in aggressive Michelin rubber, as Serious set of Marzocchi Forks and rear shock, wide, aggressive foot-pegs and lever and taller wider bars just to mention the highlights.
