Man. We like stuff that’s a little bit different – and Dunlops inaugural ‘Day In The Dirt’ in Gauteng was just that!
Dunlop sorted the entry fee at Legends Adventure Park near Cullinan, this gave riders the opportunity to come along and ride for free.
They roped in a team of Dunlop peeps to run the day. There were banners and branding, making it look all factory. There was a magic spin-the wheel where participants could win all kinds of prizes – and R100 000 worth of Dunlop tyres, caps, bags, shirts… was given to the lucky participants.
There was a giant Jenga setup that had people puzzling for hours and even a free Slush machine – that worked really hard in Gauteng’s blistering heat.
Some of the dealers like UB Trax had displays out. Honda’s national offroad Race team was out, it was really a fantastic show – and if you didn’t take advantage, you lost out!
The MX track was abuzz with bikes throughout the day and the trails were full of smiling people.
This was the first one – and we hope that it becomes an annual event!
