Michelin Anakee Adventure 2

Michelin Anakee Adventure 2

Quieter. Longer Lasting. Better Grip.

We were invited to Michelin distribuitors, Powered by Autocycle where the new Anakee Adventure 2 was introduced.

The latest Anakee focuses on three things that matter when the kilometres start adding up:

Less noise, longer life, and improved grip.

The first update is a claimed 2 db reduction in road noise. That comes down to a revised tread pattern and block layout. Adventure tyres naturally generate noise due to their open tread design, but by refining how the blocks contact the road and how air moves through the grooves, Michelin has managed to reduce the “hum” without dulling its off-road performance.

They tell us that longevity has also been pushed further. The Anakee Adventure 2 uses a dual-compound construction, with a harder compound through the centre and softer compounds on the shoulders. The centre section is designed to handle the constant load and heat of highway riding and they tell us that the tyre resists wear over long distances. The overall construction is aimed at coping with the demands of a fully loaded motorcycle.

Grip improvements come from both compound and design. A silica-rich rubber blend helps the tyre maintain flexibility and traction, particularly in cooler or wet conditions and the softer shoulder compounds improve cornering feel on tar. The new tread pattern is designed to keep things predictable when the surface changes, whether that’s smooth tar, broken backroads, or hard-packed gravel.

The Anakee Adventure 2 remains firmly in the 80/20 category, road-focused, but still capable when the route gets dirty.  This latest update is clearly aimed at that real-world sweet spot for riders who cover serious distance and need a tyre that balances comfort, durability, and all-surface usability.
