Entering the dusty gates of ERORA we could feel the ground shaking as practice had already started and the guys were getting laps in.

Riders and spectators were swarming like ants through the pit area as everybody prepared for race day. 

So many friendly faces make you feel so welcome, all of this just gets you so pumped up for the day to come.

 

So, let’s get to the action.

Inland and NIMXC results written as overall combined for the day.

50cc JNR/SNR

 For Race 1 in the JNR class #6 Millan Roux was fastest in Practice with #88 Reestin Bartlett and #212 Axell Sutherland making up the top three fastest in practice. 

Heat 1, Roux definitely brought the heat as he out rode the competition taking the win BY over 18 seconds. #17 Hanro Jacobs did well to earn his 2nd spot and #88 Bartlett in 3rd. Heat 2 had different result as Hanro Jacobs crossed the line in first place with Millan Roux not far behind for the 2nd spot, #212 Axell Sutherland in 3rd.

Overall results; #17 Hanro Jacobs 1st, #6 Millan Roux 2nd and #30 Brayden Tucker 3rd.

In the SNR class #70 Liam Grobler was fastest but only by 00:00.532sec followed by #22 Hanru Du Plessis and #44 Richard Smith. Heat 1 was some awesome racing as Richard Smith just grabbed the win from Hanru Du Plessis by less than a second and Liam Grobler 3rd. in Heat 2 Du Plessis rode like a champ as he took a convincing 1st place, #25 Nathan Visagie 2nd and Liam Grobler 3rd.

Overall results: #22 Hanru Du Plessis 1st, #25 Nathan Visagie 2nd and #70 Liam Grobler 3rd.

MX3 VETS/MASTERS/GRAND MASTERS       

 MX3 Vets #192 Jarred Eve was had a great practice run as he was clearly fastest #135 Dean Wheeler and #73 Brandon Wheeler. 

It was a Wheeler Heat 1 as Dean Wheeler worked his way to 1st place followed by Brandon Wheeler in 2nd and Jarred Eve 3rd. Heat 2 the Wheelers did it again with Dean 1st and Brandon 2nd #725 Justin Boniface came through in 3rd.

Overall results: #135 Dean Wheeler 1st, #73 Brandon Wheeler 2nd and #725 Justin Boniface 3rd.

Masters had one hell of a practice session but it was #18 Marc Ansley on top with #47 Shaun Lloyd and #187 Ty Taylor just behind. Heat 1 Marc Ansley rode well to take the chequered flag in 1st, Shaun Lloyd 2nd and Ty Taylor 3rd. Heat 2 Shaun Lloyd fought a little harder coming in 1st to deny Ansley a second win who placed 2nd and Taylor with another 3rd place.

Overall results: #47 Shaun Lloyd 1st, #18 Marc Ansley 2nd and #187 Ty Taylor 3rd.

Grand Masters was extremely close practice run as #61 Alex Robinson being only 00:00.097 faster than #7 Gary Killian. Killian was riding like the lightning in Heat1 as he powered his way to the win, #159 Adrian Magguire 2nd and #44 Darren Bailie 3rd.  #7 Killian gave the same electrifying racing taking another massive win and again it was Maguire in 2nd and Bailie taking 3rd.

Overall results: #7 Gary Killian 1st, #159 Adrian Maguire 2nd and #44 Darren Bailie 3rd

MX4 LADIES

 In their Practice run it was #202 Mienkie Cawood that had all the answers being faster by more than 9 secs trailed by #32 Ivana Venter and #210 Kelby Lacante. 

When it came to Heat1 different questions were asked and Ivana Venter had the right answers taking the win, Mienkie Cawood took 2nd and #21 Jessica Osner 3rd. Heat 2 the unstoppable Venter had more answers than questions as she nailed another 1st place, Cawood  2nd and Osner with another 3rd.

Overall results: #32 Ivana Venter 1st, #202 Mienkie Cawood 2nd and #21 Jessica Osner 3rd.

MX2    

 In Practice #184 Justin Cope left the rest behind as he rode his way to the fastest time by over 13 secs. #119 Ryan Angilley and #19 Alastair Drennan made up the three top spots. Angilley had big plans for Heat1 that played out in his favour as he rode to an easy victory, #200 Mathew Crreira got over the line in 2nd and #19 Alastar Drennan 3rd

“If a plan works, why change?” must have been what Angilley was thinking as he once again jumped into another 1st place followed by #184 Justin Cope 2nd and #19 Drennan 3rd.

Overall results: #119 Ryan Angilley 1st, #184 Justin Cope 2nd and #200 Matthew Correira 3rd.

SUPPORT 

 The support class saw the closest Practice session of the day as #143 Enrico Narbonese beat #502 Brandon-Lee Smith with a mere 00:00.004 secs, WOW! Heat1 got quite intense but in the end Smith took a comfortable 1st, Narbonese placing in 2nd and #232 Ryan Lemmer 3rd

Once again Smith made sure to keep the momentum and took a second win in Heat2 Narbonese rode well for his second 2nd for the day and Lemmer with 3rd place.

Overall results: #502 Brandon-Lee Smith 1st, #143 Enrico Narbonese 2nd and #232 Ryan Lemmer 3rd.

65cc

 The Practice run was incredible.

 #345 Rayden Woolls had the best time, #66 Mikah Hendrickse 2nd and the next four riders crossed the line with just over a second apart. Woolls took them all on and still came out on top with the Heat1 win, #777 Branden van Wyk 2nd and #312 Qhamani Thu 3rd

After a brilliant display of racing, Woolls was unchallenged in Heat2 taking 1st place again. Another 2nd place for van Wyk and a 3rd for #66 Mikah Hendrickse.

Overall result: #345 Rayden Woolls 1st, #777 Baranden van Wyk 2nd and 366 Mikah Hendrickse 3rd.

85cc PRO MINI/JNR

 #690 Ruben Cawood took the best time in their JNR practice session but only just, as #15 Dylan Bezuidenhout was nipping at his heels. It was Bezuidenhout who bit down harder in Heat1 as he showed his bite is worse than his bark taking the first chequered flag with Cawood 2nd and #711 Keagan Burns in 3rd

We saw the exact same results in Heat 2 with Bezhuidenhout making sure about being 1st, Cawood ran his way to 2nd and Burns for another 3rd.

Overall results: #15 Dylan Bezuidenhout 1st, #690 Ruben Cawood 2nd and #711 Keagan Burns 3rd.

The PRO MINI’s 5 fastest riders finished their Practice within less than two seconds of one another and top of the table was #418 Cruz Martin. 

Heat1 we saw Martin “cruzzing” to a well-deserved 1st place, #100 Greef van Wyk 2nd and #280 Kabelo Ledwaba 3rd. Like a missile Martin blasted off all the way to victory in Heat2, van Wyk 2nd and Ledwaba making it 3rd yet again.

Overall results: #418 Cruz martin 1st, #100 Greef van Wyk 2nd and #280 Kabelo Ledwaba 3rd.

MX1

 Practice we saw #135 Dean Wheeler wheeling his way to the top spot. Keeping that momentum, Wheeler rode his way to an easy win in heat 1 he was followed by #746 Adriano Catalano in 2nd and #184 Justin Cope in 3rd

Heat 2 was like deja vu as the final flag saw the same top riders crossing the line in the same sequence.

Overall results: #135 Dean Wheeler 1st, #746 Adriano Catalano 2nd and #184 Justin Cope 3rd.

125cc HIGHSCHOOL

 Damn, yet again it was a very tight Practice session for the High schoolers with #200 Matthew Correira getting top honours. He kept his marks as he got an A+ for his victory in Heat 1, #111 Tyla Sheppard with 2nd and #777 Asher Brown taking 3rd. Graduating top of his class Correira made it a perfect day this time followed by #114 Damien Venter placing 2nd and #210 Blake Osner in 3rd.

Overall results: #200 Matthew Correira 1st, #228 Louis Mostert 2nd and #210 Blake Osner 3rd.

 

So, for now school is out until we meet again for Round 10 of the Inland Motocross Championship.
