We made our way to Krugersdorp to join the fun at Dirt Bronco for some epic motocross racing by the Mayfair Gearbox Inland MX Championship.Â

50cc JNR & SNR.
With 15 riders all lined up for their practice session, the youngsters took to the track to see who had what it takes to set the quickest time around the shortened circuit. In the JNR division, the top three consisted of #88 Reestin Bartlett, #30 Brayden Tucker and #18A Garry Hamer.
The SNR class had #20 Luan Jordaan, #117 Trey Dean and 118 Mason Vrey as the top three.
JNR:
HEAT 1: Eager awaiting kids behind the gates couldn’t wait for it to drop so they could get raceday started and once it did there was no looking back.Â
#30 Brayden Tucker rode his little KTM hard to get to the front and to take the win, behind him #212 Axell Sutherland had a good run of his own to get the 2nd spot. #18A Gary Hamer came in 3rd.
Heat 2: #30 Tucker had such a good time in heat 1 with the win that he did it again! #88 Reestin Bartlett with a much better run, ran all the way to 2nd place with #212 Axel Sutherland taking 3rd. Â
SNR:
Heat 1: The SNR class that was dominated by KTM put on a very good race. When the flag came out it was a convincing win by #20 Luan Jordaan. #117 Trey Dean came in 2nd and #118 Mason Vrey 3rd.
In Heat 2 #20 Luan Jordaan was unstoppable as he just pulled out a lead that could not be caught and took another win. #117 Dean Trey kept a sturdy pace as he crossed in 2nd with #17 Hanro Jacobs 3rd.

26 riders lined up for practice and released one at a time.
High School:
Heat 1 was absolutely awesome! #114 Damien Venter had the teen and machine thing down to a tee as he took 1st place. A fight between Yamaha and GASGAS took place for second and third. It was the Yamaha of #777 Asher Brown that came 2nd and #38 Ethan Louw on the GASGAS in 3rd.Â
Heat 2 was just as good #114 Damien Venter made it a double win for the day. #100 Greef van Wyk that had his presence known all day long got him to 2nd in this race, #777 Asher Brown took 3rd.
SNR:
Heat 1: Taking 1st was #25 Ricky Raaff with #718 James Lottering on his ‘purple nerple’ 2nd.
Heat 2: was the same result.

85cc JNR & PRO MINI.
With a puff of 2-stroke smoke the 85cc’s got going as they all got their shot at the track. The quickest three in the JNR class were all keegans, #711 Keagan Burns, #111 Keegan Miles and #78 Keagan Crawford. For the PRO MINI’s it was #280 Kabelo Ledwaba, #555 Maxwell Fourie and #234 Cassie van Zyl.
JNR:
Heat 1: With another battle of manufacturers, KTM, Yamaha and GASGAS the heat was on. Keeping his cool was #111 Keegan Miles on the KTM in 1st, #711 Keagan Burns on the Yamaha 2nd and #78 Keagan Crawford on the GASGAS in 3rd.
Heat 2 saw some epic racing, but there can only be one winner. Making it two for two was #111 Keegan Miles who won, #711 Keagan Burns with a close 2nd and #78 Keagan Crawford a solid 3rd.
SNR:
Heat 1: Some close racing and some great skills by the PRO riders kept the spectators close to the track. #280 Kabelo Ledwaba got to the line 1st, followed by #234 Cassie van Zyl 2nd and not far behind #555 Maxwell Fourie.
Heat 2: #280 Kabelo dusted off the competition as he took the flag in 1st, keeping results intact #234 Cassie van Zyl 2nd and #555 Maxwell Fourie 3rd.

14 bikes lined up, they were let loose and off they went.Â
The best times were set by #101 Christiaan Bellingan, #66 Mikah Hendrickse and #19 Tommy Wotherspoon.
Heat 1: The race started off with a bang and just kept getting better. These kids really are fearless as they climb on the gas and just keep going. It was #66 Mikah Hendrickse who took the flag for the win with #312 Qhamani Thu right behind him for 2nd and #101 Christiaan Bellinghan 3rd.Â
Heat 2: With a few mishaps on track it was #101 Christiaaan Belligan came out on top taking 1st, #104 Richard Smith clinched 2nd and #312 Qhamani Thu got himself to 3rd.

18 riders whipped around the track in the elite class.Â
With some high flying and dirty roosting we had our top three, for MX1 #135 Dean Wheeler, #25 Ricky Raaff and #29 Joshua Williams. In MX Support we had #34 Greg Gildenhuys, #312 Waylin Olivier and #38 Terrence Bonsignore.
MX1:
Heat 1: A fantastic show took place as #135 Dean Wheeler was pushed hard by #25 Ricky Raaff. Wheeler proved just too much for Raaff and took the win, Raaff 2nd and #29 Joshua Williams with the 3rd spot.
Heat 2: It was made clear by #135 Dean Wheeler that he is the fastest rider on the day as he took a clean and well deserved 1st place, #25 Ricky Raaff got to 2nd with #746 Adriano Catalano 3rd.
MX Support:
Heat 1: #34 Greg Gildenhuys pace was just too quick for his competitors as he cruised to a convincing win. #122 Kyle Davey came in at 2nd and not far behind him was #38 Terrence Bonsignore in 3rd.Â
Heat 2:  #34 Greg Gildenhuys was a class act, bagging himself two 1st’s for the day. #122 Kyle Daveyheld 2nd all the way to the end with Dorren Lourero, a mostly tarmac racer finishing in 3rd.

MX4 Ladies.
Revving engines echoed as the ladies waited for their shot at practice. When the session was over standing tallest was #32 Ivana Venter, #110 Emily Pienaar and #16 Kelly Beegte.
Heat 1: After the dropping of the gates the ladies piled into the first turn and a mistake by #16 Kelly Beegte knocked her to last. She fought back to 4th place. In the front it was #32 Ivana Venter that was the 1st lady over the line, #110 Emily Pienaar crossed in 2nd and #21 Jessica Osner placed 3rd.Â
Heat 2: this race was all about Husqvarna. Winning was #32 Ivana Venter, #110 Emily Pienaar grabbed 2nd and #16 Kelly Beegte got 3rd place.

Masters:Â
Heat 1: A tough time for the championship leader had #111 Marc Ansley keep his momentum from the practice run going into heat one as he claimed 1st place. #50 Nicolaas van der Linden got 2nd and #187 Ty Taylor took 3rd.
Heat 2: Mixing up the top spot for this race we saw #50 Nicolaas van der Linden take the flag. #111 Marc Ansley got 2nd and it was another 3rd spot for #187 Ty Taylor.
Grand Masters:
Heat 1: #2 Gary Killian had a great start as he came out in the lead and stayed there for a few laps before #47 Shaun Lloyd caught and passed him. Lloyd kept in front until the chequered flag. #2 Killian got the 2nd and #191 Pierre Smit 3rd.
Heat 2: Taking his Yamaha to the limit #47 Shaun Lloyd rode to his second victory for the day, #2 Gary Killian could not stay with Lloyd but still managed to grab 2nd and #191 Pierre Smith 3rd.

Practice. Starting with the vets the quickest around the circuit was #135 Dean Wheeler, followed by #73 Brandon Wheeler and #718 James Lottering. In the MX2 class it was #25 Ricky Raaff, #29 Joshua Williams and #136 Mark-Anthony Filip.Â
MX3 Vets:
Heat 1: Just too hot to handle, #135 Dean Wheeler got into the lead and just kept it pinned all the way to a great win. Dean’s brother Brandon kept the way things seem to turn out claimed 2nd with #100 Sean Strunkheide taking 3rd.
Heat 2: The Wheeler brothers dominated the Vets class. Winning both heats was #135 Dean Wheeler, #73 Brandon Wheeler 2nd with #718 James Lottering in 3rd place.
MX2:
Heat 1: #25 Ricky Raaff had a ball as he flowed with the circuit and took 1st, #29 Joshua Williams had no problem taking 2nd with #74 Cole Meyer finishing 3rd.Â
Heat 2: With no Raaff behind the gate at the Start of heat 2, #29 Joshua Williams took full advantage and pocketed himself 1st place, #136 Mark-Anthony Filip 2nd and #74 Cole Meyer in 3rd.

Hosted by Teza Motocross Track in Richards Bay on the 16th of June together with the National MX Championship on the same weekend. A double header!
