Gorilla Brite

Gorilla Brite bike wash products…

Proudly South African:

When a brand rolls into the Dirt & Trail headquarters for a live demo, we pay attention. That’s exactly what Gorilla Brite did. No big promises, no over-the-top claims, just a full lineup of bike care products and a proper, hands-on walkthrough of how each one is meant to be used.

With bikes that regularly take a beating in mud, dust, and everything in between, we’re always keen to see what actually works when it comes to cleaning and protecting our bikes – and the biggest think – the less hassle and time, the better.

We bumped into Gorilla Brites Jean Le Roux at the Inland MX Championship. He made arrangements for a proper Gorilla Brite demonstration with one condition, “Give us the dirtiest bike you have!” So, after The Adventure Company’s Heidelberg Ride we had the perfect bike for them, Kyle Foley’s rather dirty, muddy KTM.

Gorilla Brite arrived with their whole set up, all the products, pressure washer and gazebo.

Gorilla Brite can be used on all types of bikes, Dirt, Adventure or road.

Breaking Down the Range

Step 1 – Exhaust & Metal Cleaner.

The Exhaust & Metal Cleaner is aimed at the areas that take the most punishment. From heat-stained headers to mud baked pipes, it’s designed to cut through stubborn buildup that a standard wash won’t touch.

Used after the initial pressure washer clean, it helps lift residue and restore a cleaner, brighter finish to exposed metal surfaces, bringing back that crisp look.

Step 2 – Kong Engine & Rim Cleaner.

The Kong Engine and Rim Cleaner is built for the dirtiest parts of the bike. From brake dust on rims to grease and grime around the engine, it’s designed to break down heavy buildup quickly and effectively. Used during the wash process, it helps cut through stubborn contaminants in hard-to-reach areas, leaving those often-overlooked zones clean.

Step 3 – Snow PHoam Shampoo.

The Snow PHoam Shampoo is all about loosening the worst of the dirt before you even touch the bike. Applied as a thick foam layer, it clings to surfaces and works its way into mud, dust, and road grime, helping to lift it safely away. It’s an ideal pre-wash step that reduces the risk of scratching while making the rest of the cleaning process quicker and more effective.

Step 4 – Plastic Surgeon.

The Plastic Surgeon is designed to revive tired, faded plastics. After a proper clean, it helps restore depth and richness to panels that have taken a beating from sun, dirt, and time. The result is a fresher, more factory-look finish that brings the bike back to life without an over-the-top shine. It can even be used on your dirt bike tyres to give them that showroom shine (not recommended for road tyres as they do become slippery).

Banana Bomb Quick Detailer. (Bike maintenance after wash)

The Banana Bomb Quick Detailer is that final touch after the wash. Designed for a quick wipe-down, it helps remove light dust, fingerprints, and water spots while boosting the overall finish. It’s an easy way to keep your bike looking fresh between rides, adding a clean, just-detailed look without needing a full wash.

Cheeky Cherry Helmet & Boot Revitalizer.

The Cheeky Cherry Helmet & Boot Revitalizer steps away from the bike itself and focuses on rider gear. Designed to freshen up helmets and boots, it helps tackle odours and revive the feel of well-used kit. It’s a quick, easy way to keep your gear smelling good and feeling ready for the next ride. they tell us that this is one of their most popular products.

More Than Just a Wash.

What stood out during the demo wasn’t only the individual products, it was the system. Each step flows into the next, making the process feel structured rather than random. It’s not about blasting your bike with whatever’s nearby; it’s about using the right product in the right place, making you feel like you almost know what you’re doing.

It’s a straightforward, no-nonsense system designed around real-world riding conditions, exactly what you’d expect for bikes that don’t spend their lives standing still.

We have to say that we are impressed with the results. Now it’s up to kyle to keep his own bike all shiny.

The story behind Gorilla Brite in the words of Jean Le Roux.

How it started…

“As a family in the offroad and adventure sport we were always looking for products to clean our bikes the way we want them clean and we could just never seem to get the right stuff.”

“We decided to make our own. My father in law and I used existing products as a base and added other products and chemicals and tested and played around and we built / mixed something that worked a little better.”

We shared some product with friends and the feedback was that we should package and sell to riders.”

We had launched the first product, our Exhaust Cleaner and got it into a few bike shops and it did extremely well in a very short period of time. this led to queries about a shampoo and so-on.

We are now on 6  products and working hard on launching another 2 very soon….

So stay tuned.

We have a few Resellers and the list is growing quickly.

We are also proud to have quite a few dealerships using our products in their workshops…”

“Gorilla Brite is a motorcycle focused company. It’s a family business we are always on the ground to build personal relationships with our clients on and off of the track”
