Five Gloves

Gimme Five! Riding with Five MX Gloves.

We went ahead and bought a pair of Five MFX3 Enduro/MX Gloves. Change is marvelous and we thought that we’d see what this exclusive glove manufacturer (Yes! They ONLY make gloves) has on offer.

Sure, these are MX gloves, but we’ve used them for enduro, road and Adventure (Mostly coz we can often not find our other gloves) and to be fair we like them.

In terms of comfort they are plenty comfortable with a snug fit. Fit and finish is spot -on and one of the big things that we like is the fact that the fabric used is pretty well vented and does not make your hands all sweaty.

Five Gloves
The fabric used on the uppers is vented and allows much air flow.

In terms of grip on the palms, we have no complaints, even puffing up and down some fairly hectic, rocky climbs, stopping at the top to take pics, they are not all sticky and yuk.

The rubber Five logos on the index fingers also do a good job providing grip on the brake and clutch levers.

A nice touch:

They work on the touch screen of a cell phone. So you don’t need to take your gloves off to get that photo or check your inbox.

Five Gloves
Good grip and feel on the palms. The Five Logo gives extra grip on your levers and swipes your phone...

Durability:

We’ve used them a lot in the last couple of weeks and they still look as good as when they came out of the bag. We ride a lot and our dirtbike gloves do take a pounding. Time will tell on longevity, but indications are that they will last  pretty well.
