Well… who or what is F61?

Distributed by the guys at Autocycle Centre, F61 is a proudly South African company that makes all sorts of cool chemicals and products for the motorcycle, bicycle, marine and car industry.

On the bike side, we’ve tried all sorts from their chain wax to their silicone spray and penetrating oil and it’s the good stuff!

They do the whole shebang from Foam filter oil, to chain cleaner, Mousse lube to fabric cleaner, sealer and anti chafe cream.

F61 Penetrating Oil displaces water and has a creeping agent allowing it to penetrate and release seized nuts and bolts.

F61Air Filter Cleaner is specially formulated for cleaning foam filters. Foam Filter Cleaner is non-caustic and will not corrode metal parts. Additionally, it washes away cleanly without leaving any harmful or corrosive residues in the filter that could damage engines.

Air Filter Oil is used to stop dust penetrating your filters.
It coats the sponge once you’ve washed it and then traps the dust over the air intake on the engine, preventing dust entering your engine and causing damage.

F61 Chain Lubricant doesn’t attract the dust and create a grinding paste. Its endurance and resistance to flinging off is exactly what they require to increase the longevity and reliability of their chains and sprockets.

F61 Chain Wax is a wax based lubricant used on the chains, and is normally preferred by road riders. When the chain heats up, the wax melts and then penetrates into all of the moving parts

F61 Chain Cleaner aerosol product is not only for the chain, but for anywhere required. It mixes with water so you don’t have to use a solvent to remove the product afterwards.

F61 Compression Stabiliser: Sprayed directly into the engine intake, it stabilises the compression by cleaning the entire combustion system. Compression Stabiliser frees sticky valves and rings by removing gum and varnish deposits from the carburettor and combustion intake system.

F61 Silicon Spray is an effective lubricant on most surfaces and is noncorrosive or nonreactive. When sprayed on hard surfaces, silicone spray is able to maintain its lubricating properties in a variety of temperature ranges and environments. Silicone will not oxidise.
