Up here in GP it’s starting to get a tad chilly. If you, like us spend most of your time trying to keep warm on the bike, then getting the correct gear makes a lot of sense. FIVE has just introduced the (and it’s a mouthful…) the WFX PRIME EVO GTX winter glove for ADV riders and it looks pretty spectacular!
To be fair, we’ve only just bought them – and just like shoes, they still feel a tad stiff and need to be run in – but, we do ride pretty much every day, so we’ll give you a full feature once they are sorted and well used.
We can tell you that they do keep your hands toasty and there’s a lot of innovative technology involved… We had no idea…

- Built in knuckle guards.
- Palm: full-grain goat leather for flexibility, digitized rubber reinforcement at the contact with the handles for optimal grip in wet weather, and large protective SuperFabric® reinforcement covering the thenar eminence and the hypothenar, lined with memory foam.
- GORE-TEX Grip ™ breathable waterproof membrane, integral with the lining at the palm
- No-seam heat-welded construction for optimal waterproofing
- Oversized Cuff System: variable cuff volume system. Adjusts the cuff around the jacket sleeve with a YKK waterproof zip closure
- Double closure system of the cuff and the wrist.
- Memory foam and TPR reinforcement on thumb, ring finger and little finger
- Gusset at the joints and wrist
- Bemberg™ internal comfort lining for extra softness
- Clear Vision Pad™ screen cleaning system on the left hand side
- TouchScreen™ (index) system for handling touch screens
First impressions:
Warm but not bulky, adjustable wide cuff (to fit over your jacket). Comfortable for sure!
