A brand new track was run in during this round of the popular development series, and the race structure was also altered a bit.
Bigger classes were made in each category, which allowed for podium positions in each class. This is new, previously riders received participation certs rather than position allocation.
Racing kicked off with the Yamaha PW 50’s. 12 bikes lined up to a flagged start and 14 laps of mayhem.
Then came the bigger 50cc bikes with the slightly more experienced riders banging bars through the 14 strong class.
The 65’s took to the track, with many riders on full manual bikes for the first time. Determination was the name of the game, always great to see.
The 85 class saw some great competition, with the top 3 swapping the lead throughout. And there are two young ladies, Monya and Joceylin who give the boys a hard time!
Prizegiving was under the trees on the lawn with trophies for the top 3 riders and medals and certs for everyone who participated.
The next event is at Dirt Bronco on the 9th of July.
The organisers want to thank Luis from Ferreiras Bathroom and Tiles for the trophy sponsorship.
Nice one guys! It’s all about growing the sport.
