“The lightest, most advanced race gear we’ve ever produced” Says Leatt.
Every seam, panel, and feature has been designed to give riders the edge, whether on the track or in the desert – “it’s not just lighter, it’s smarter, cooler, and tougher”, Leatt tells us.
Ultra-Light. Race-Ready. Built to Breathe.
Leatt adds that the 5.5 Moto gear is designed from the ground up for one thing: Speed. “The refined 360° stretch race fit delivers a second skin feel, while aerodynamic seamless panels slice through the air.”
According to Leatt, airflow is managed by more than 566 precision, laser-cut perforations to keep the rider cool in the heat, with mesh fabrics treated to enhance cooling.
It all sounds pretty cool! (Get it?)
Comfort & Mobility
Virtually seamless panels are finished in taped edges for durability, they say, and a minimal 3D-panel construction.
The 5.5 Moto gear is designed to eliminate chafing, bunching, and drag while riding.
“The “Twisted Yarn” micro mesh shell and ergonomic 3D design means maximum flexibility and weighs 47.5% less than previous models without sacrificing durability.”
They also tell us that the Leatt’s Hypalon Belt System guarantees a solid waist fit for different sized peeps and that the knee areas are tailored for knee braces, with added protection against wear on inside panels and “next-level durability” on the outer.
The new Moto apparel is PFAS free using the latest standard of eco-conscious DWR coating to repel dirt, water, and prevent stains.
Doing the good stuff:
All Leatt gear is packaged in plastic-free, fully recyclable packaging. And that in itself is very, very cool.
