It seems that KTM has gone all out with the new 1390 Super Adventure S EVO.
There’s no replacement for displacement!
In 2025 we bid farewell to the 1290 Super Adventure Range and welcome the new 1390 Super Adventure Series with a new look, more power and added tech.
Let’s take a look at what the 1390 Super Adventure S EVO brings…
Updated motor, AMT:
A bump up from 1,301cc to 1,350cc.
With the bigger motor comes more power. They claim 170.6bhp at 9,500rpm with 145 Nm of torque at 8,000rpm.
This means that it will produce 10bhp and 7 Nm more than the previous model, taking the fight to bikes like the Ducati Multistrada V4 S.
A statement from KTM says that the engine components have been reworked and will come with Camshift, a variable valve timing technology that, they say will increase rideability at lower rpm, create more power while reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
KTM will launch the EVO with their new AMT tech, (Automated Manual Transmission). The AMT will give the rider a choice of three gear shifting features, manual shifting using the foot lever, bar mounted levers or one can switch to full auto mode.
Reworked chassis:
The 1390 Super Adventure S chassis has increased stiffness to improve handling and track stability. Thinking of rider comfort, KTM has lowered the footpegs by 8mm and are 10mm wider.
KTM has added the latest generation of WP’s Semi-Active Technology, said to bring ‘more precision with consistent damping behaviour at higher frequencies’. They also say that it will give a more stable ride.
The bodywork will also be updated with the new look LED headlight taken from the newest Dukes. A new storage department, new seat and a new windshield will all be features.
One thing that stays the same on the S is the wheel size, 19” front and 17” rear.
Also included is the latest edition of Bosch’s radar technology. Adaptive cruise control even in heavy traffic! The radar system is said to add to the brake assistance, distance warning and collision warning features.
The Evo comes equipped with KTM’s new V80 TFT dash, a portrait mounted 8.8” screen with added upgrades. The rider will be able to customise the dash to his or her liking, all done through an easy to use touch screen that can be used even with thick winter gloves.
According to the Austrian manufacturer the Super Adventure S EVO will be “the most technologically advanced adventure machine in the KTM wheelhouse and will “simply obliterate the playing field”.
